Destinations:

La Paz

La Paz, Spanish for "The Peace" is the place that we simply, call home. The capital of Baja California South, it has plenty of infrastructure for you to handle your business, shop or keep your family entertained. It is a town that through its growth as a tourist destination has managed to maintain its charm and Mexican spirit, which is reflected in many aspects of the town and its locals. A very safe town, which definitely has the laid back, casual Mexican feel which embraces its visitors, also has plenty of places of interest if you want to live it up!

However, what really has put La Paz on the map is the great diving and fishing that it offers, as well as the many sheltered coves its islands offer refuge and beauty to kayakers and adventures, or just to simple sun seekers.

La Ventana / El Sargento

A 45 minute drive south from la Paz, this area has grown with lightning speed over the last decade, mainly due to its popularity as one of the world's windsurfing and kite sailing Mecca. With beautiful white sandy beaches, and great fishing at the nearby Cerralvo Island, this quaint fishing village has expanded and hosts some beautiful homes, and pieces of land with majestic views. There are certain areas where the absence of paved road, electricity and water is a luxury, as so far it is maintaining some of El Sargento's original charm.

EAST CAPE

Located one hundred twenty kilometers south of La Paz, along the road through San Antonio and San Bartolo, there is access to the numerous beaches facing Punta Pescadero and the area that is known as Rancho Buena Vista and Los Barriles. In 1953, the Rancho Buena Vista hotel opened with 12 rooms and an airstrip, followed in 1958 by the Bahia de Palmas hotel, thus opening the gates to tourism on the fabulous East Cape or "Cabo del Este" as it is known locally. Sensational sportfishing, primarily for marlin, as well as Dorado, Roosterfish, Tuna and Sailfish, is at is peak from May to October. However, diving, windsurfing and trekking are just some of the numerous adventure activities that also await you.....

Los Cabos

Cabo san Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are the cities that form the tourist area of Los Cabos linked by a scenic and splendid seaside highway of 20 miles called the tourist corridor, located on the extreme south of the entity. It is 93 miles from Cabo San Lucas to La Paz via Todos Santos, whilst it is 113 miles from San Jose del Cabo to La Paz via the East Cape.

San Jose del Cabo, called "Anuiti" by the Pericues, was founded by Jesuit father Nicolas Tamaral in 1730 who was martyred and murdered on October 3rd of 1734 by rebel indigenous. Early this century, Cabo san Lucas was a fisherman's village. In 1971 a north American company installed a floating plant for tuna exploitation, and 10 years later, the Marine Products Company was established, and for many years gave life to the village. The big attributes of Los Cabos area were not unprepared for the visionaries' investors, locals and foreigners. But very soon, great and modern hotels arise in its coast and in 1974 the federal government through FONATUR gave a definite impulse, creating the infrastructure to turn it to one of the most beautiful integrally planned tourist centers of the country.

In a few years, Los Cabos reached a giddily development until it converted in one of the favorite beach destinations for the international tourism, with more than 6,500 hotel rooms in all categories. Added to this, along the corridor a crowd of high quality services, residential zones, condominiums, golf courses, tennis courts, trailer parks, restaurants, night clubs, bars, boutiques and everything that the most demanding tourist could wish.

Among its multiple attractions, some stand out: sport fishing for the abundance of species such as the Marlin (black, blue and striped), sail fish, sword fish, Dorado and yellow tail; its famous beaches such as Love, Medano and Hacienda, and the long beach of Costa Azul in San Jose. In most of them it is possible to practice most water sports, such as sailing, snorkeling, parasailing, wave runners. Ax far as diving, it is known for its Sand Falls, as well as the excitement often found further out in Gordo Banks.

Arriving to Los Cabos and enjoy its beauty is very easy as it is linked by several airlines through its international airport, bus depot, a marina with facilities for yachts and cruisers in Cabo san Lucas and the transpeninsular highway.

Todos Santos

Todos Santos is located 1 hour south of La Paz & 1 hour north of Cabo San Lucas at the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains.

The town looks towards the Pacific Ocean amongst the greens of rich farm crops, palm groves, mango & avocado trees & the canebrakes of the Valle del Pilar. Only 2 miles from the Ocean, visitors can enjoy the nearness of beaches & surf, in town stroll past colonial buildings, the mission of Nuestra Senora del pilar de Todos Santos, beautiful gardens & much, much more.

Painters, sculptors, artisans, writers, intellectuals and just plain common folk, all make Todos Santos an interesting study in diversity.

Todos Santos is always a good 10-15 degrees cooler than Cabo San Lucas & La Paz so it is a wonderful vacation destination year round!!

Todos Santos offers world-class dining such as "Café Santa Fe" where Ezzio and Paula consistently offer you dishes that take your breath away in their simplicity and delight. Newly established "Los Adobes" offers first rate Mexican Haute Cuisine.

Todos Santos also hosts first-rate accommodations such as our highly recommended Posada La Poza and the famous Hotel California, as well as the finest in art galleries & interesting shops plus wonderful outdoor recreational activities & beaches!!

Todos Santos is also a surfers paradise with its proximity to Los Cerritos and Pescadero.

Magdalena Bay

Bahia Magdalena, more commonly called Mag Bay, is one of the three large bays on Baja's Pacific coast where the whales go each year to mate and give birth from late December through March. But there's much more going on in Mag Bay than just whales. The bay is also known for its good fishing, and the port city of San Carlos plays host to many different fishing and tourist operations. The smaller areas of the bay on the northern end have recently been discovered for their excellent kayaking, and now flycast fisherpeople (men and women) are discovering the pure joy of saltwater fly fishing in these protected northern bays.

On the Pacific side of Mag Bay there is a whole different agenda going on. Sailors have been using the protected waters of Bahia Santa Maria as a gunk hole for years, and this northern bay is truly a special part of the Baja unspoiled wilderness. On the north end of Santa Maria Bay surfers have discovered an excellent right break, off the tip at Punta Hughes. The difficult access and complete lack of facilities keeps the crowds away.

San Carlos offers small hotels, markets, good restaurants, one trailer park, a Pemex station and an ice factory

Magdalena Bay is located due west of Ciudad Constitution, about 30 miles west of Baja Highway One
